The time has arrived for your child to commence their formal schooling experiences. Education is a complex and engaging process. When students, teachers and parents/caregivers work together, the learning process is most successful. Collectively we take pride in celebrating our achievements and the many successes of our students.

Prep is the first year of schooling in Queensland. It is a compulsory, full-time, school-based program and has a defined curriculum. The Prep Year is exceptionally important as it provides the essential foundations to prepare students for Year 1.

At Albany Creek State School we believe young children learn best when they are engaged actively in purposeful learning experiences that take account of their interests, strengths, capabilities and phases of development. We use an extensive range of teaching approaches to deliver high quality engaging curriculum program.
